12 Year Aberfeldy Whisky Review Last Great Malts. Scotch Test Dummies

This Aberfeldy Bottle is part of a two bottle boxed set from Dewar's called The Last Great Malts: Vol 1.

Beside a distillery called Aberfeldy runs a stream called The Pitilie Burn. Now this is no ordinary stream. The water is cold, pure and rich with deposits of real gold. The Distillery uses that water to create a single malt unlike any other. It's been this way since 1898. Why mess with perfection?

Aberfeldy's time-tested production process creates a light, pure single malt with hints of honey. They distill the liquid in copper pots, handmade by the same family for over a century, then age it to perfection. Pour yourself a dram, take a sip and experience pure brilliance.

The Nose:
Sweet like spun sugar (cotton candy) with hints of fruit.

Tasting Notes:
Medium-bodied, rounded and syrupy. Lively fresh fruit flavors, fudge, cocoa powder and the merest whisper of peat.

Drink Strategy:
Serve neat in a Glencairn glass.
