Description

This medley from a TV appearance in 1984 includes a couple of Andy Stewart's most successful early 1960s recordings - 'A Scottish Soldier' and 'Donald Where's Your Troosers', along with 'Aberdeen' (where he's seen here on the stage of His Majesty's Theatre) and 'Tunes of Glory' (which Andy co-composed with Neil Grant). This is a tribute to the fondly remembered stalwart of Scotland's 'White Heather Club', who became an international celebrity through his popular singles and albums. Andy died in 1993, and Hogmanay has never been the same without him.
