Loudoun Hill Near Kilmarnock, Darvel & Newmilns, Ayrshire, Scotland (14aug2011)
A brief handheld panorama from the top of Loudoun Hill near Kilmarnock in Ayrshire. And yes, it was as windy as it sounds, despite being a reasonably nice day much lower down. that explains the slightly shaky footage ;-)
Loudoun Hill is a volcanic plug and the peak is approx 316 m or 1,037 ft asl.
I was surprised to see the three masts between Coatbridge and Livingston (Blackhill transmitter) visible to the east from up there. According to Google Earth, they are 21.5 miles away as the crow flies.
