Dundrennan Abbey is in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is a Gothic abbey set in peaceful surroundings not far from Kirkcudbright. After her escape from Loch Leven Castle, Mary Queen of Scots spent her last hours here in 1568 before crossing the Solway Firth the next day to England.
